Abstracts

For this portfolio, I have included pictures where the subjects are secondary or nonexistent, and where the shapes, lines, textures and shadows take center stage.  Whether they meet the strict definition of “abstract” is not important to me.  When I took these pictures I was trying to see through my own imagination, rather than through my lens. I think some of these pictures work quite well in that regard, and maybe some less so.  Still, I enjoyed creating each of these images, and for one reason or another, they each make me smile.
