Orcas patrolling the waters of Sitka Sound
I spent a lot of time out on the water, and orcas were somewhat less common in Sitka Sound than humpback whales.
The Kansas Kid II
I had two boats while I lived in Sitka. The first was an old large Bayliner, which cost nearly $100 in fuel just to get out of the harbor. The second was this 18 foot runabout, which I dearly loved. I could run it right up on the beach, and was still out of the rain during inclement weather.
